Land Of The Lost, the Spent Idols’ first new release in 18 years is out now in Venezuela, and is arriving soon in the U.S. This album is the band’s first Latin American release, and the follow-up to their 1996’s two in one CD, Hugs ün Kisses/Tonight!
As its predecessor, Land Of The Lost also consists of two discs in one, including previously unreleased original and cover studio songs, and in the good tradition of Lousy Rock ‘n’ Roll, mono no-fi forgotten songs from rehearsals, all recorded in the nineties until 2003.
The album’s title track has received radio airplay by Mickey Bradley, bassist for Northern Irish punk band the Undertones, on his BBC Radio Ulster show.
San Diego’s punk legends, the Spent Idols are back in 2015, and they are ready for war. They are attacking us this time with Land Of The Lost, an album that demonstrates how these first-rate dudes can do some of the best old wave punk rock. The album features a brilliant art design, as well a collage by renowned punk artist Kenney Sahlugg Garrett.
Recently, on January 25, the Land Of The Lost CD has received radio play on Stig Stench's Punk Rock Radio Show, Block 16, Live from Vegas with DJ Earl Smith. The album release party will be on March 20 at Til-Two Culb, San Diego, CA. Tour dates planned for 2015 in support of the album.
